“Lighting professionals” – Led filament lamps and energy consumption. What do we need to know?

“Lighting Professionals” – “Led filament lamps and energy consumption. What should we know?”

Do you know how the LED Lamp was born?
You will rightly say that it is of little importance, as long as it is the lamp of the present and the future… but it is curious that the genesis was a simple lamp, the one with a filament that we have used for years and years .
But what is the difference between LED lamps, apart from the type of light and lighting it provides?
The LED lamp saves, because for one watt spent, an LED lamp gives 8 times more light, giving us a much higher efficiency.

But let’s take a look back and look at the history of the lamp. You remember moments from your childhood, when every time a light bulb burned out at home (which happened relatively often) your parents went to buy another one at the nearest store to replace it. The lamps were also sold at the neighborhood grocery store, precisely because of the frequent demand for them. It was even curious that to test if the bulb was burning, we shook it, and if we heard a small noise, we understood that the filament had broken, thus burning the bulb. Now, even if the LED lamps wear out, there is no reason to change them because they are no longer the same, even if they are correct, we destroy them.
It is a bit ironic that we have not always understood that a lamp does not actually burn, but has simply amortized its working hours.
An LED lamp is consumed depending on the working hours, but also depending on the switching on and off. So practically, an LED lamp has 25,000 working hours, 5,000 on-off cycles, giving it an average 5-year warranty.

But what else distinguishes incandescent lamps from Led?
From the shape…
Yes, because the incandescent lamp has historically only had one model. And now, Led lamps vary and vary not only in size but also in different shapes which not only adapt to the types of lighting but also to the taste or need for them.

Another thing that makes LED lamps stand out is the color of the light. When we talk about lighting colors, we come across these types of lamps at Eglo:
– 1700 K with the name “Golden Age”
These lamps have a warm light and are mainly used for environments that stay cold and need to be warmed by the magic of lighting. Being a maximum of 4 watts, these lamps make any environment look like home.
– 2200 K named Amber, this lamp is neither warm nor cold. It is perfect for a table lamp or even in general for bars and restaurants that do not have any specifics in their decoration. For rooms where the stay is longer, this lamp is perfect because its maximum power is 4 watts and the lighting is relaxing but with more Calvin.
– 2700 K with Filament
If until now we were talking more about relaxation and decor, functionality comes into play with filament lamps. It certainly includes the decor, but at the core lies the function. The power for these lamps is 8 and 12 watts and they do not have as much variety as the first ones for decor, but they are very functional .
Now we move on to the hot area of Eglo… it’s not for nothing that we left the dessert for the end.
What are the innovations that only Eglo offers?
BIG SIZE and different colors of lamps!!!
Regarding the color of the glass, we present the Eglo models:
11867, 11872, 11869, 11882, 11884, 11897, 11889, 11686, 11687.

The last and not the least important innovation are the lamps totally just for decoration, because being only 2 watts, they have incredible shapes and sizes. For example we give you the Eglo decor lamps: 12584 and 12586.
