The German Academy, founded in 2003, serves as a center of experts who use their knowledge in various fields such as physics, architecture, psychology, design, etc.; to find solutions to various problems that appear during the evolution of the industry.

Therefore, investing in the Bartenbach academy as the home of continuous research was the right step to take.

Bartenbach academics have worked on many projects such as shopping malls, offices, hotels, museums, arenas, stadiums and airports, but their incomparable contribution lies also in very special projects, which many have called works of art.
One of them is Harvard University, where the greatest focus was on the efficiency of the use of electricity, natural light and the newest lighting technologies. All spaces were designed to be as comfortable and safe as possible, especially late at night, while also maintaining the harmony with the outside environment.
The Congress House in Zurich is another project, which after 3 years of renovation and with a budget of 174.4 million euros, was illuminated by using a balance between the natural light and the artificial one provided by Eglo. The planning of the lighting strategy was done by BartenBach, with the main goal being the flexibility in use but also the adaptation to the modern needs of the space.
The Clock Tower in Mecca also deserves to be mentioned among Eglo’s grandest projects. Built with 2 million LED and RGB lights, which can be seen at a distance of 8 kilometers, Baternbach has best integrated the lighting elements with the architecture of the Mecca Clock Tower, giving it a harmonious appearance from all angles.
