The Mövenpick Hotel stands as one of the most unique and technically demanding projects of its kind, executed with non-negotiable brand specifications and aligned with the highest international lighting standards.
A core requirement of this project was delivering uncompromising light quality, adhering to advanced technical parameters, including:
CRI >90 – Ensuring accurate color rendering for natural and pleasant illumination.
MacAdam ≤ 3 SDCM – Maximum color temperature uniformity, eliminating unwanted deviations.
UGR <16–18 – Glare control for optimal visual comfort and non-intrusive lighting.
Lifetime >50,000 hours – Long-lasting, efficient solutions designed for uninterrupted operation.
These specifications define a 100% professional and standardized lighting system—essential for a high-end project like Mövenpick. For the interior spaces, the lighting was designed in perfect harmony with the architects’ minimalist and elegant vision. Recessed fixtures with warm and neutral tones were used, seamlessly integrated into the environment. The result is lighting that remains almost invisible to the eye, yet provides optimal performance.
One of the greatest challenges was illuminating the hotel’s façade, which required highly specific technical solutions to effectively highlight:
- The entrance areas and parking zone
- Architectural walls and elements
- The tall vertical columns, emphasizing the grandeur of the building
To achieve this, an RGB wallwasher system was implemented, allowing for dynamic color changes tailored to the brand’s visual identity.
To ensure balanced and impactful exterior lighting, special attention was given to:
- Achieving even illumination across the full height of the columns
- Avoiding glare and unwanted light dispersion
- Creating a cohesive lighting effect across the entire façade for a striking visual presence
