Bartenbach – now an integral part of Eglo<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0– has built a remarkable reputation for designing spaces that are both functional and visually captivating. By expertly harnessing natural light and blending it with artificial illumination, Bartenbach has transformed environments around the world.<\/p>\n

In addition to projects at Harvard University and the Adidas headquarters, Bartenbach has contributed to many iconic structures, including the Clock Tower in Mecca, the House of Congress in Zurich, St. John the Baptist Church in Neu-Ulm, and King Abdulaziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

At the Adidas headquarters in Herzogenaurach, the challenges were different, yet Bartenbach\u2019s solutions were equally groundbreaking. Faced with the need to maximize natural light while preventing overheating, the Bartenbach team collaborated closely with architects and engineers to create a sustainable lighting system tailored to the needs of Adidas employees.<\/p>\n

Due to the partially perforated diamonds, strategically shifted based on compass directions, enable each side of the facade to capture optimal light while providing shade from direct sunlight. This design approach offers Adidas maximum flexibility in arranging its interior spaces.<\/p>\n

The artificial light is designed with almost the same consistency. By means of a uniform lighting system, all large areas of the development\/ corridors, offices up to the entrance arena are solved. The integration of artificial light serves not only the banal fulfilment of norm values but also makes the DNA and identity of Adidas clear.<\/p>\n

Through the interaction of light, material and interior design, it has been possible, despite using a simple grid lighting system, to structure the massive surface and translate it into a human scale.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the entrance area has been transformed into a multifunctional space that accommodates various activities, including product presentations and fashion events.<\/p>\n
